Medieval settlement of the XIV. It is first mentioned in documents from the 20th century.
In the center of the village there is a church fortress, whose towers and defensive walls have been declared a monument. Built in Romanesque style, the church was later supplemented with Gothic elements, almost none of which survived the great transformations of the pre-World War I era.
At 82, there is a pigeon-lined gate, built in 1806 and declared a folk art monument.
He had the right to hold a market in Toria, but as the population of the village grew very quickly, the market space in Toria proved to be small, so a new market space had to be provided. The new marketplace became the main square of Kézdivásárhely. The guilds transported their goods to a new market and built skateboards around the fairground to avoid having to transport goods every day.
The Apor mansion in the sitting room is believed to be in the 17th century. It was built in the beginning of the 20th century, and it was supplemented with wings in the neoclassical style.
The population of Torja is 4062, of which 4041 are Hungarian.
