Your getaway begins in Miercurea Ciuc, where your guide will be waiting for you in a 4x4 vehicle. Before the off-road experience, we will go through the villages of the Ciuc basin to the village of Nicolești. Depending on the season and weather conditions, we will be able to explore the road to Vârful Pâgânului and Mount Nășcălat, from where you can enjoy the view of the Ciucului Basin. We climb the ridge of the Nășcălat mountains, pass the Tarcău pass and follow the forest road along the ridge.

In 2-2.5 hours we reach the border of Cheile Bicazului - Hăşmaş National Park, where optionally, through an easy hike of 2-3 hours you can conquer the peak of Ecem (1707 m). From their rocky ridge you can enjoy the extraordinary panorama of the surrounding mountains. Returning to the car, the journey continues on forest trails and through traditional mountainous areas to the village of Trei Fântâni. Here you can observe the traditional way of life and taste fresh trout from the local farm, served by a local family. In the surroundings of the village you can meet studs of horses, herds of sheep and cattle grazing, guarded by shepherds.

From Trei Fântâni we head towards the Bicazului Gorges, which stretch along the Bicăjelului Valley, with wooden houses and huts, dense forests and small waterfalls. After admiring the massive gorges and taking a short 1.5-hour walk around the Red Lake or a guided via ferrata tour, we will return to Miercurea-Ciuc through the scattered village of Covacipeter, where you can also visit the source of the Olt River.
